Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between Ultra and standard Anti Mould Paint?+
Ultra uses a ceramic copolymer barrier formula, is scrubbable, can be used inside and outside, and can be painted over with your own colour once cured.
How long does the protection last?+
It helps prevent mould and blackspot for up to 10 years.
Can I paint over it with a colour?+
Yes. Once it's fully dry and cured, you can apply your preferred decorative topcoat.
How many coats do I need?+
One coat is usually enough. Two coats are recommended for the best anti-mould performance.
Do I need to remove the mould first?+
Yes. Remove existing mould and treat the area with a fungicidal solution, then let it dry before painting.
Can I use it on new plaster?+
Yes, but let freshly plastered walls dry for at least 2 weeks first.
Can I use it outside?+
Yes. It's suitable for interior and exterior use.
Does it smell?+
No. It's water-based, VOC free, non-toxic and low odour, so it's ideal for rooms that are in use.
